After witnessing several passengers, airport officials, FAA officials, and crewmembers strike their heads while loading or offloading regional aircraft, and experiencing the problem ourselves, we founded Head Guard in Kansas City, MO in 2010. The problem of the lower height for the main cabin entryway invites the potential for further injuries, or possibly even a fatality. After several meetings and months of design testing with other crewmembers on multiple aircraft, we developed Head Guard to fix the problem, thus helping to alleviate any commercial airline, airline insurance companies, and airport authorities from litigation certainties due to their negligence for failure to resolve the catastrophe.
The primary members of the Head Guard team have worked in various capacities in the commercial aviation industry, and we adhere to the philosophy of the Federal Aviation Administration: "Passenger Safety First." We have identified the problem and Head Guard is the solution.
